Daniil Shafran Plays Bach's cello suite no.2 (Excerpts)

Prelude

Courante

Sarabande

Some don't care for his excessive vibrato, but I think there is much to appreciate in his playing.

Hi Cello Geek! As a new reader I'm enjoying all the videos.

As for this set, having grown up entirely in the age of period performance I can never really get used to a lot of vibrato in Bach.

On an unrelated note--what's the deal with me being the only one to vote for Stravinsky in the poll? I mean, I love Shostakovich, but clearly Igor is the most important composer of the 20th century. No one else comes close to being equally popular, innovative, and influential. Prove me wrong!

On Stravinsky - It's still early.
